Let’s Go to the Storm!


I haven’t written anything in English in a while, so today I thought of writing an entry about something that caught my attention the other day. It was a comic strip made by an Argentinian cartoonist called Liniers.

It had a single frame with a drawing of two penguins sailing on a boat and a storm approaching them.

Endings and Beginnings

Happy New Year!

So, 2014 has ended and a new year has begun.

I hope you could finish last year with few regrets and many things to be grateful for. As for me, although there were some things I wish I’d done differently, I can think of several experiences and people I met that left me with good memories.

And this last year I got to spend New Year’s Eve in a special way. I usually spend it in my grandma’s house with the rest of my family but this time I spent it at a beach. I came to Barbados a few weeks ago with my mother to spend the holidays together with my brother, who moved here last August.

Caras conocidas

¿No han tenido alguna vez esa sensación de que una persona les parece conocida aunque la estén viendo por primera vez? Es como un tipo de déjà vu pero con personas. Lo extraño es que aunque lo intentemos, no podemos recordar de dónde nos parecen conocidas.

Esta semana tuve esta sensación dos veces. La primera fue con un muchacho joven, no muy alto y con barba. Intercambié unas pocas palabras con él pero me impresionó que apenas lo vi, sentí una familiaridad extraña.
